What’s a web feed?

You may have noticed a button labelled ‘RSS’ in the top right-hand corner of this page. RSS is a type of web feed.

When you have a feed reader, you can subscribe to blogs, webcomics, wikis, Twitter accounts and any other sites that regularly have new content. The feed reader collects all that new material in one place for you, instead of you having to visit xkcd, then Cracked.com, then Dresden Codak, then RPG.net, then the Huffington Post, etc, manually to check for new material.

I use Google Reader. If you read webcomics or blogs, I highly recommend a feed reader. And when you get one, make sure you click that RSS button in the top right-hand corner and subscribe to Living Libre!
